"Specific Bi-Directional Extension"

Principle : SBDE™

    SBDE (Specific Bi-Directional Extension) is a One-Step Multiplexing PCR technology with high sensitivity and specificity. It has the capability to differentiate between homozygosity and heterozygosity in Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) in addition to detecting Short Tandem Repeats (STR).

Conventional PCR techniques require multiple parallel reactions or sequencing of the PCR product to differentiate between homozygote and heterozygote genotypes accurately.

SBDE is a highly accurate, One-step Multiplexing PCR technique that inserts arbitrary sequences to identify homozygote and heterozygote genotypes via gel electrophoresis or dual-labelled probe.
